, a series edited by CHP Director Carroll Van West and sponsored in part by the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area and the Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission.
Tennessee Women in the Civil War contains eleven articles that chronicle Tennessee women’s experiences before, during, and after the war. First-hand accounts, biographical sketches, in-depth analyses, and a set of illustrations tell the tale of women’s varied and dramatic encounters with the war and its stunning consequences.
